FARM IS BIG NEWS

Read all about it! The farm has been highlighted in the following publications.

Our Corn Maze was featured in an article in the Northwest Weekend section of the Oct. 21, 2004, Seattle Times. "A Rite of Fall to Help You Find Your Way," reveals the life lessons to be learned walking a corn maze. Read it online at: www.seattletimes.com

The South 47 Farm was featured in an article on the front page of the Sept. 9, 2004, Seattle P-I. In "Investors Harvesting a Dream," reporter Rebekah Denn told the story of the farm's founders, who banded together to save farmland and promote sustainable farming in the Sammamish Valley. "Dr. Maze's Vision in Corn," featured our own Dr. Maze (a.k.a. Farm Manager Roger Calhoon) explaining how he painstakingly designs and hand cuts the Corn Maze. The article appeared on the front page of the Sept. 1, 2004, King County Journal. On May 12, 2004, our U-pick strawberry fields were featured in the same paper in "Berry Bounty is Around the Corner: Strawberry season early this year." See them both at www.kingcountyjournal.com.

On Sept. 14, 2004, Farm Manager Roger Calhoon and our Communications guru, Christine Dubois, appeared live in the Corn Maze on Seattle Live. The program was carried on KONG-TV, a KING-TV affiliate.

And on Sept. 22, 2004, the farm was featured in a cover story on Sammamish Valley Farming in the Redmond Reporter.

In "Eating What's Close to Home," Communications Director Christine Dubois makes the case for buying local food. The article appeared in the July issue of Northwest Baby and Child. Check it out on-line at: www.nwbaby.com.
